This virtual event is sponsored by Congregation B’nai Harim of the Poconos, on Sunday 2/18th, from 10:00 a.m. – noon. Together with the National Center for Jewish Films, a 95-minute documentary about Julius Rosenwald will be zoomed into your living room. A discussion will follow.
Julius Rosenwald joined Booker T. Washington to build almost 5,000 schools in the Jim Crow South for African American children who had no place to learn. This is an amazing story of tikkun olam and tzedakah. To register, email janetbnaiharim@gmail.com. Fee: $18 per household, payable by check and mailed to B’nai Harim, or online at bnaiharimpoconos.org.
