Join Temple Hesed and Temple Israel before Shavuot begins, from 6 to 7:45 on Tuesday, June 11, as we study and discuss texts on a key topic this election year: loving the stranger and immigration. Co-taught by Rabbis Daniel Swartz, Marjorie Berman, and Miriam Spitzer, we’ll explore this topic from a variety of viewpoints and sources, ranging from Torah commentaries to Yiddish memoirs. We’ll take a break in the middle of the program for some traditional dairy desserts — cheesecake, ice cream etc. And we’ll conclude in time for people to attend Shavuot services at Temple Israel.
