Thursdays, November 6, 13, 20 & December 4 at 7:00 PM (In person & on Zoom)
Discover the powerful and deeply personal Jewish tradition of ethical wills—also known as legacy letters. From Biblical times to the present day, Jews have passed down not just possessions, but life lessons, values, and hard-earned wisdom through these heartfelt writings.
In this four-session course, we’ll explore extraordinary examples spanning millennia, including the famous ethical will of Sholem Aleichem, which appeared on the front page of The New York Times upon his death. Participants will also receive step-by-step guidance and expert support to begin crafting or recording their own ethical wills—an opportunity to reflect on your values and the legacy you wish to share, at any stage of life.
This class is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
