The coronavirus pandemic did not deter the Jewish Federation of NEPA from holding its annual Super Sunday phone-a-thon. This year, rather than meeting at Nivert Metal in Throop, each solicitor stayed in the safety of their home to conduct the phone calls. Before starting, the volunteers joined a Zoom briefing where Mark Silverberg, executive director of the Jewish Federation NEPA, explained the Super Sunday process and answered questions.
Typically, the Federation sponsors a light breakfast for the Super Sunday volunteers. This year, since safety is one of our top priorities, breakfast, which included coffee, juice, and muffin, was hand delivered to each solicitor’s home, along with cards and other information.
We would like to thank all our volunteers who made the call and to all who answered it! Thank you. Your generosity makes an impact that improves Jewish lives in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Israel, and around the world.
