The story unfolds through a stunning papercut crankie\, accompanied by live klezmer music that brings every twist and turn to life. This dynamic performance is perfect for audiences of all ages! \nMeet The Magid Ensemble\nThis imaginative performance is presented by The Magid Ensemble (magid\, meaning “storyteller” in Yiddish)\, a collaboration of award-winning klezmer musicians Mattias Kaufmann\, Raffi Boden\, and Rachel Leader\, alongside Yiddishist storyteller A.C. Weaver and visual artist Kiah Raymond. Together\, they weave sound\, story\, light\, and shadow into an immersive storytelling experience that’s not to be missed. \nWhat is a Crankie?\nA crankie is a long scroll of illustrated storytelling magic\, hand-cranked to reveal scenes as the narrative unfolds.
