DESCRIPTION:Please join JFS as we celebrate our 7th Annual Community Matters Event\, which honors outstanding leaders who have made a difference in our community. \nThis year’s honoree is Jim Alperin.\nBorn and raised in Scranton\, PA\, Jim Alperin is a graduate of Central High School and Lehigh University with a degree in Business Administration. He led his family’s apparel contracting business to global success\, specializing in menswear\, children’s wear\, and school uniforms until its sale in 2021. Deeply involved in his community\, Jim has held leadership roles in numerous Jewish\, civic\, and educational organizations\, including serving as President of Elan Skilled Nursing and Rehab and as a Board Member of the United Way of Lackawanna County. Gelb Kosher Food Pantry. \nWe’re accepting non-perishable\, kosher (OU) certified\, and non-expired food items. Your donations help provide essential pantry staples to local families in need. \nEvery donation\, big or small\, makes a difference.
